A finished room—not just a TV on a wall

A better view starts with a better plan.

A television can be perfectly level and still feel wrong if it is too high, catches glare, blocks access to its ports or cannot turn toward the seats that matter. We start with the room: where you watch, how the furniture sits, what equipment connects to the screen and how the mount should move.

Diamond Handyman Service provides TV installation in Chico homes, apartments, rentals and commercial spaces. We handle first-time wall mounting, replacing an older TV, taking down and remounting a screen, soundbar mounting and clean cable-management options.

Already bought a bracket? We can check it against the television’s VESA pattern, weight and the wall. Still choosing one? Call before you buy and we will explain what changes between fixed, tilting and full-motion mounts.

What the installation includes

The details that turn a bracket into a finished setup.

The exact scope depends on the television, mount, wall and accessories. These are the core decisions we work through on a standard mounting project.

Placement and height

We mark the proposed screen position with you and account for the main seat, furniture, glare and the way the room is used.

Compatibility check

TV weight, VESA pattern, bracket rating, included hardware and movement range are checked together.

Wall assessment

We identify suitable support behind the finished surface before choosing the attachment points and drilling.

Mount and alignment

The wall plate and television are installed, leveled and adjusted for the position you approved.

Cable and accessory plan

HDMI, data, soundbar and media components are arranged so ports remain usable and moving mounts have enough slack.

Final function check

Locks, tilt, extension, swivel, clearances and cable movement are checked before the setup is complete.

Choose the movement you need

Fixed, tilting or full-motion?

The right TV mount fits the screen, the wall and the way you watch. More movement is useful in the right room, but it also changes support, clearance and cable planning.

Fixed mount

Clean and close to the wall

A strong choice when seating faces the screen and the TV can sit at a comfortable height. We preserve access for plugs, ventilation and the bracket’s release mechanism.

Tilting mount

Adjust the vertical angle

Useful when the television must sit somewhat higher or a slight angle helps with reflections. Cable bends and clearance are checked through the intended tilt range.

Full-motion mount

Turn toward the room

Extends, swivels and tilts for open layouts, corner positions or more than one viewing area. The extended arm increases leverage, so the complete installation matters.

Room-first placement

We set the screen for the way you watch.

A low sofa, a bed, an open living room and a business display call for different positions. We consider eye line, screen size, furniture, daylight, swivel clearance and equipment location before making holes.

01

Find the viewing line

We discuss the main seat and whether the screen will be watched straight on or from different parts of the room.

02

Confirm the whole layout

Furniture, soundbar, shelves, doors and fireplace clearances are considered together.

03

Mark it before mounting

You see the proposed position and approve it before the installation moves forward.

Every screen changes the room

TV mounting for bedrooms, living rooms and large displays.

Diagonal size gets attention, but weight, bracket pattern, handling space and wall support decide how the television can be mounted.

32–50

Bedrooms and compact rooms

Placement often needs to balance a higher viewing angle, limited furniture space and a doorway or closet nearby.

55–70

Living-room screens

We coordinate the TV with the main seating, console, soundbar and windows so it feels centered in the room.

75+

75-, 85-inch and larger TVs

Large-screen TV mounting requires compatible support, enough working room and a safe handling plan based on the actual model and weight.

MULTI

Offices and commercial displays

Reception areas, conference rooms and customer-facing screens need useful sightlines, accessible inputs and a clean professional finish.

What is behind the finish matters

The wall determines the installation.

We assess the visible surface and the support behind it, then follow the mounting requirements for the television and bracket.

Common

Drywall over framing

We locate suitable framing and use the specified attachment points. Drywall alone is not treated as a substitute for the support the mount requires.

Older homes

Lath and plaster

Plaster requires care with the finished surface and the construction behind it. Existing cracks, repairs and remodeled walls can change the approach.

Individual assessment

Brick and masonry

Solid masonry, decorative veneer and fireplace finishes are different conditions. We identify the substrate before recommending placement or hardware.

Special surfaces

Tile, paneling and metal framing

The decorative finish does not establish what can carry the television. Unusual walls are assessed individually and another location may produce the better result.

TV mounting above a fireplace

A focal point still has to work.

The space above a fireplace is not automatically suitable for a television. Heat exposure, viewing height, the manufacturer’s instructions, finish material and the support behind it all matter.

We assess fireplace TV installations individually. When the location works, the screen, mount, mantel, soundbar and cable route are planned as one arrangement. If the television would sit uncomfortably high or the construction is unsuitable, we will say so and discuss another wall.

No one-size-fits-all clearance. The actual fireplace, television and wall decide the answer.

Cord concealment and components

Plan the cables before the TV goes up.

Cable management should look deliberate, preserve access and let the mount move without tugging the connections. The wall construction, power arrangement and equipment location determine the available choices.

An ordinary TV power cord or extension cord is not an in-wall wiring solution. A clean setup needs a suitable existing outlet or an appropriate listed power solution. New electrical work requiring an electrician is handled separately.

Soundbars, streaming devices, game consoles and media shelves can be planned with the screen so connections stay reachable and equipment has the ventilation it needs.

A

Surface cord covers

A practical, paintable route when opening the wall is undesirable or the property is a rental.

B

In-wall signal cables

Suitable rated HDMI and low-voltage cables where the wall and route permit.

C

Soundbars and media shelves

Mounted or aligned with the screen, connected cleanly and kept accessible.

D

Component connection

Streaming devices and other existing components connected as part of the finished arrangement.

Before you buy a TV mount

Match the hardware to the exact television.

A screen-size range on the box is only a starting point. The mount must match the television’s mounting-hole pattern, weight and installation instructions, then work with the framing and clearances at the chosen wall.

For a Samsung Frame or another slim-profile television, send the exact model and bracket information when possible. These setups may use model-specific mounting hardware, tight wall clearances and a separate connection box that should be included in the room plan.

VESA patternThe mounting-hole spacing on the back of the television.
Weight ratingThe TV’s actual weight must stay within the bracket’s listed limit.
Wall supportAttachment points must work with the framing or masonry at the location.
Port accessPower, HDMI and data connections need usable clearance after mounting.
Motion rangeFull-motion arms need space and enough cable slack through their travel.
Complete hardwareBrackets, rails, spacers, bolts and locking pieces must be present and compatible.

Replacement, moving and remounting

Already have a TV on the wall?

We can take down an existing television, assess whether the mount can be reused, replace the screen on a compatible bracket or move the setup to another room. If you are moving, we can also help remove the TV before the move and remount it once the new wall and hardware are ready.

Old mounting holes and wall damage can be discussed with our drywall repair service. For help with boxes and larger items during a move, see moving help in Chico.

Large-screen TV mounting

Size is only one part of compatibility.

The television’s actual weight, VESA mounting-hole pattern, required hardware, bracket limits and supported wall construction must work together. Full-motion mounts add leverage when extended, and larger screens need enough handling room and a suitable lifting plan.

A local Chico handyman service

One direct contact from the first question to the finished setup.

Chico properties do not all hide the same construction behind the paint. Older homes may have plaster, previous repairs or remodeled walls; newer homes, apartments and commercial interiors can introduce different framing and access conditions. We assess the wall in front of us instead of assuming every installation is the same.

Diamond Handyman Service handles television mounting for homeowners, tenants with approval, landlords, property managers and local businesses. You can call or text the same local number, send a photo if it helps and get a straightforward answer about the next step.

TV mounting questions

Straight answers before installation.

Call before buying a bracket or after the television arrives. You do not need to know the technical details before contacting us.

Can you install a TV mount I already bought?

Yes, when it is complete, undamaged and compatible with the television and wall. We check the weight rating, VESA pattern, hardware and supported wall construction before installation.

What size TVs do you mount?

We work with compact bedroom TVs, common living-room sizes and large 75-, 85-inch and larger screens when the television, bracket, wall support, access and handling plan are suitable. Text the model and screen size for a specific answer.

Can you mount a Samsung Frame TV or another slim-profile TV?

These installations can be assessed using the exact television model, its supplied or compatible bracket, the wall and the location of any separate connection box. Send the model information before the visit when possible.

Can you hide the TV wires?

Often, but the options depend on the wall route and power arrangement. We can discuss suitable in-wall signal cables, listed power solutions and paintable surface cord covers before the screen is mounted.

Can a television go above my fireplace?

Possibly. We check support, heat considerations, viewing height and the requirements of the television and fireplace. Some rooms are better served by an adjacent wall.

Do you mount TVs on plaster, brick or tile?

Suitable locations can be assessed for mounting. The substrate, finish condition, bracket instructions and available support determine the method and whether the proposed location works.

Can you mount a TV in a corner?

A full-motion bracket can work in some corner and angled layouts. The mount needs compatible support, room to extend and swivel, and a cable route that moves without binding.

Can you mount a soundbar or media shelf too?

Yes. Compatible soundbar brackets, wall mounting and component shelves can be planned with the television so alignment, controls, ventilation and connections work together.

Can you remove and remount a TV in another room?

Yes. We can take down and remount a television when the bracket and new location are suitable. Drywall patching at the former location can also be discussed.

Do I need to know my wall type before calling?

No. Tell us the result you want. A photo is useful when convenient, but it is not required; we assess the actual installation conditions.
