Service details

Furniture assembly for bedrooms, workspaces and outdoor living.

Beds, wardrobes and dressers

We assemble suitable platform beds, storage beds, headboards, nightstands, dressers and wardrobes. A bed’s support components and storage drawers need to fit as intended, while a wardrobe needs a square frame before its doors can be aligned properly. The sequence in the manufacturer’s instructions matters, especially for a piece that arrives in several boxes.

Hinged and sliding wardrobe doors have different adjustment needs. Dresser drawers need the correct slides in the correct positions, with smooth travel once the frame is assembled. We handle those finishing details along with the larger panels, so the furniture is useful as well as upright.

Bookshelves and storage furniture

Bookcases, cube organizers, sideboards and storage towers can help finish a room quickly. We check the model’s assembly and wall-restraint requirements and consider its final position. A tall piece should not be left incomplete simply because it can stand without the restraint specified by its manufacturer.

Desks, chairs and home offices

Writing desks, corner desks, office chairs, filing units and suitable standing desks are all projects we can assess. Drawers and doors need to clear adjacent pieces. A sit-stand desk also needs its controls and cable arrangement checked so movement does not pull on a lead or catch an obstruction.

For a group of office pieces, we consider how they sit together in the room. The goal is a workable space, with the agreed furniture assembled and its moving parts adjusted, rather than a collection of finished pieces blocking each other.

Living and dining furniture

We assemble suitable dining tables, chairs, coffee tables, media consoles, TV stands and other ready-to-assemble living-room furniture. A large table or entertainment unit needs careful handling and a sensible assembly sequence. The weight and design are assessed before the job is treated as a routine small flat-pack build.

A thoughtful installation

IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon and other ready-to-assemble brands.

The product matters more than the retailer

We work with suitable furniture purchased from IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon, Costco, Target, Walmart and other retailers. Beds, drawer units, bookcases and modular storage can vary considerably even within one brand. We follow the instructions for the actual item instead of relying on a familiar-looking panel or a similar model assembled before.

Cam locks, dowels, threaded inserts and bolts each have a role. Over-tightening does not correct a joint that is misaligned, and forcing mismatched parts can damage a panel. We check orientation and fit as the piece comes together, then make the final adjustments after the frame is correctly assembled.

Already started, but stuck?

We can often assess and finish a partially assembled piece. The first step is checking what has been put together and whether the parts are sound. A reversed panel may be recoverable; damaged connectors or missing structural parts may need replacements from the supplier.

Outdoor seating and patio furniture

Patio tables, dining chairs, benches, loungers and suitable outdoor sectionals can turn delivered boxes into a usable seating area. We follow the hardware sequence, align the frame before final tightening and check that the finished piece sits properly. Outdoor furniture is not assumed to need different fasteners than those specified for the product.

Fitness equipment and larger products

Suitable exercise bikes, benches and other home fitness equipment can be assessed for assembly. Structural connections, guards, adjustment mechanisms and the manufacturer’s setup checks deserve attention. Missing safety-critical components are not replaced with improvised hardware.

Larger products such as gazebos, sheds or play structures need their own scope assessment, including the base, anchoring and any work beyond assembly. They are not automatically included as ordinary furniture jobs. Call about the product you have in mind and we will establish whether it is an appropriate project.

Repair & replacement

A finished piece includes the final adjustments.

Alignment, operation and care for the room

A cabinet can be fully assembled and still have uneven doors. A drawer can fit and still rub. We check the agreed piece after assembly, including hinges, slides, feet and other adjustable parts provided by the manufacturer. Those small corrections are often what make the furniture feel finished.

We plan the assembly around the room and protect the surrounding finishes while handling panels and hardware. Packaging and spare parts are kept organized so a required fitting is not confused with waste. We can discuss the cleanup and any packaging removal as part of the project.

Anti-tip restraints and missing parts

Manufacturer-required wall restraints are part of the assembly plan. The attachment needs to suit the wall as well as the furniture. IKEA’s furniture safety guidance explains why securing applicable furniture matters. We assess the appropriate fastening instead of skipping the step when the supplied kit does not match the wall.

If a panel is damaged or a key part is missing, we identify the issue before it is hidden inside the build. Some problems can be corrected through an ordinary adjustment; others need the retailer or manufacturer to supply the proper component. We will explain the difference rather than leave an unsafe workaround inside the furniture.

Attention to the details

The details in the instructions matter.

Manufacturer-required anti-tip restraints are part of the assembly plan. We check for missing or damaged components and do not improvise replacements for safety-critical parts. Proper assembly includes the details that may be easy to overlook in the box.

Useful answers

A few common questions.

Do you assemble IKEA, Wayfair and Amazon furniture?

Yes. We work with suitable products from those retailers and other brands. Beds, desks, dressers and shelving are common projects, along with many other ready-to-assemble pieces.

Can you finish furniture I started assembling?

Often, yes. We assess the existing assembly and parts, correct suitable mistakes and finish the work. Call us even if the instructions or partially built piece have become frustrating.

Can you assemble several items together?

Yes. We can handle a group of suitable furniture items as one project. That is useful for a move-in, a room refresh or a new office setup.

Can you assemble furniture for a furnished rental or office?

Yes. Suitable beds, storage, seating and workspace furniture can be grouped into one project. Chico homeowners, landlords and businesses can call about a full room or a smaller set of items; we assess the actual products and assembly involved.

What happens if a piece has missing or broken parts?

We identify the affected part and explain whether the build can proceed appropriately. Damaged panels or missing structural hardware may need replacement from the retailer or manufacturer. We do not improvise safety-critical components to finish the job.

Do you attach dressers and bookcases to the wall?

We include manufacturer-required restraints in the assembly plan and assess suitable attachment to the wall. Requirements vary by product. The piece is not treated as complete for use when a required restraint or other safety component is missing.
