Diamond Handyman Service

Give the room a more complete look.

New window treatments change how a room feels, from a bedroom with better privacy to a living room with softer light. We install blinds, shades, curtain rods and drapery hardware with attention to the fit and the finished line.

Inside-mount shades, wide curtain rods and layered drapes need different support. We handle the mounting details and work around the actual opening, trim and nearby furniture. One window or several rooms can be part of the same project.

Window treatments we install

  • Horizontal and vertical blinds
  • Cellular, roller and Roman shades
  • Single and double curtain rods
  • Drapery tracks and hardware
  • Suitable motorized window treatments

Service details

Blinds, shades and drapery hardware for each room.

Horizontal blinds and cellular shades

Faux-wood blinds, aluminum blinds and cellular shades offer different ways to manage light and privacy. We install suitable inside- or outside-mount products, checking that the headrail sits correctly and the treatment clears the window hardware. The finished blind should tilt, lift and lower without catching against the opening.

Cellular shades are available in different operating styles, including cordless and top-down/bottom-up models. The mounting depth and bracket arrangement depend on the product. We assess the model you have selected instead of assuming that a shade with the correct width will automatically fit every part of the window.

Roller, solar and Roman shades

A roller shade needs a level installation so it operates neatly. Roman shades also need space for the fabric folds when raised. Solar shades can filter daylight while preserving some outward view, while blackout products focus on light reduction. Fabric choice and edge coverage affect the finished result; “blackout” on a label does not promise a completely dark room.

Curtain rods and layered drapery

We install single rods, double rods, café rods and suitable drapery tracks. A double-rod arrangement needs enough separation for sheers and heavier panels to move independently. The rods, finials and brackets also need room beside the window, especially where an adjacent wall or cabinet limits the space.

Long spans and heavier curtains call for the support arrangement specified for the hardware. A center bracket can affect how the curtains travel, so we consider operation as well as appearance before placing it. The aim is a balanced line with panels that open comfortably.

Patio-door blinds and wider openings

Vertical blinds, panel tracks and suitable wide shades can cover sliding patio doors and broad windows. We check how the treatment stacks when open and whether it interferes with the door handle or walkway. The headrail needs support across its span so everyday operation does not pull on a weak mounting point.

A thoughtful installation

Inside mount or outside mount? The opening decides.

A recessed, inside-mount look

An inside mount places the treatment within the window opening and leaves surrounding trim visible. It can create a clean, contained appearance, particularly when the trim is part of the room’s character. The opening needs sufficient depth for that specific product, along with clearance for latches, cranks and any other hardware.

We check the opening rather than rely on a single width measurement. A window can vary from top to bottom, and a shade that fits at the top may still rub lower down. Product-specific deductions and bracket requirements need to be understood before a custom-sized treatment is ordered.

An outside mount for more coverage

An outside mount can extend beyond the opening and may suit shallow frames or a room where coverage is the priority. The installation is planned around the trim, wall space and fabric position. Extra coverage can reduce side gaps, but the exact result depends on the treatment and window.

Height, width and the finished proportions

A curtain rod’s location should work with the actual curtain length, ceiling and furniture. Mounting higher can change the visual proportions, while extending the rod past the window can allow panels to stack away from the glass. We work through the look with you rather than apply the same offset to every room.

Where several windows share a wall, consistent alignment can matter more than following small differences in the trim. We consider the group together and check the sightline before fastening the brackets.

Privacy and light in Chico rooms

A street-facing living room, bedroom and home office have different priorities. You may want privacy without losing daylight, less glare at a desk or better coverage for sleeping. We can help translate that goal into a practical installation, including layers of shades and drapery where the space allows.

Repair & replacement

A secure installation and a smooth daily routine.

Wall support and failed brackets

Curtains are moved every day, so the wall support needs to suit both the hardware and its use. Drywall, plaster and masonry need different approaches. We assess the surface and available structure, then use mounting hardware appropriate to the treatment and manufacturer’s requirements.

If a rod has pulled loose, the damaged area needs attention before the replacement goes up. Simply adding a longer screw to a torn-out hole may leave the original problem in place. We can assess suitable wall repairs and a better support arrangement as part of the rehanging work.

Motorized treatments and shutters

We assess mounting and suitable setup work for battery-powered or plug-in motorized blinds and shades. Charging access, controls and product compatibility matter alongside bracket placement. New hardwired power requires the appropriate electrical work.

Interior shutter installation can also be assessed where the supplied frame and panels suit the opening. Shutters need careful fit and hinge clearance; they are not installed like a standard blind headrail. Whether the project is one window or several rooms in a rental, the final check includes how the treatment opens, closes and clears its surroundings.

Attention to the details

Comfortable rooms, sensible product choices.

We can discuss privacy, blackout coverage and how you want the treatment to look. Cordless window coverings are the safest choice around young children, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Useful answers

A few common questions.

Can you install blinds or curtains I already bought?

Yes, when the products fit the opening and mounting requirements. We check the installation details. You can also call while deciding what to purchase.

Can you fix a curtain rod that pulled out of the wall?

Yes. We assess the wall damage and the support needed for the rod and panels. Reusing a failed mounting hole without addressing the cause is not the goal.

Do you install motorized shades?

We handle suitable mounting and setup work for compatible products. Battery-powered and plug-in systems differ from installations needing new wiring; new hardwired connections require an appropriate licensed professional.

Can you help decide between an inside and outside mount?

Yes. We assess the opening depth, trim, handles and desired coverage. Inside mounts keep more of the trim visible; outside mounts can suit shallow openings and provide additional coverage. The exact product determines the required measurements.

Can you install double rods for sheers and heavier curtains?

Yes. We position suitable hardware so the layers have room to operate and the support matches the span and combined load. Curtain length, bracket projection and nearby walls all affect the finished arrangement.

Can you replace blinds throughout a rental or a new home?

Yes. Multiple windows can be assessed as one project, including old-hardware removal and suitable repairs to previous mounting points. Call or text about the rooms you want finished; we can work through product fit and installation details from there.
